Over the years Madame Mao's Dowry has brought together an eclectic mix of independent designers and creative brands, from Shanghai and Beijing. In line with our city's cosmopolitan past, they brought skills from all over the world to live and work here. They tell stories imbued with their experience of modern China. Whether local or from overseas their work ranges from contemporary interpretations of Chinese traditions to unexpected objects that simply make everyday life more interesting.
