Budou textiles are hand-drawn patterns on fine cotton fabric, screen printed at home by the designer, using a lovely range of nostalgic colours that blend with contemporary life. They display a sophisticated sensibility to design and a mastery of printing and colour techniques only acheiveable through dedication, a quality that Budou has no shortage of.

Budou produces only short runs of each printed textile, using a restricted colour palette so that only a few colourways exist. She uses some to make exquisite pouches and others celebrate the beauty of the printed textile as handkerchiefs or wrapping cloths or simply as covers.

Her most recent designs, produced especially for us, come from Budou's childhood growing up in the 1980's in Shanghai. Love it!
