Authentic or reproduction?
Unlike the classic ceramic Mao bust, these busts made from a diverse range of materials are more easy to authenticate. Their production ceased at the end of the Mao Period so their problem isn't authentication but the risk of deterioration of the material used. Plastics in China in the Mao Period were not so resilient, glass is easily chipped or cracked and rubber will deteriorate in sunlight or damp. We, naturally, only keep the strong and resilient ones, without cracks or chips.
